They are such a worry aren’t they. It’s the not knowing that’s hard isn’t it.
Our cat occasionally goes for a wonder, he was gone for 18 days once, he nonchalantly wondered in one morning none the worse for wear, he was well fed and in good condition, we found out he was going to a property about 1/2 a mile away (we live in a rural area). He hates the hot weather and will often disappear for 24/48 hours when it’s like this. Advice we were given when he was missing was if he has a litter tray (ours don’t) leave that outside because apparently they can smell it. It was also suggested to go out and call him during the late evening, just before dusk & first thing in the morning when its quiet. We also went around all the neighbours and asked them to check sheds & garages and if you have a local Facebook page maybe post on that. As well as the local village page we also have a pets lost and found for the county we live in and we posted details on that as well. All suggestions we were given that we found useful, hope they help you as well. I hope he comes home soon for you |

Hope he comes home soon, fingers crossed that he’s just out enjoying the lighter evenings. I know how awful and worrying it is when they don’t come home. We had it happen a few years ago with our little cat, thankfully he did come home but it stressed us out massively x

We are putting the litter out right now xx thank you
I've posted on various local fb groups and everyone is being kind to us. Tomorrow we'll put fliers out. It's helping to hear that other people have had cats lost for days on end. I just really hope he comes back 😢 |

One of our cats goes missing for days at a time - always when we are on holiday and I have a friend cat sitting! He really upset my friend the first time he did it as she was concerned he had disappeared while she was watching him. He's 14 now and she is used to not seeing him for a couple of days.
Hope your guy turns up soon. |
