Left a Mont Blanc pen in the seat stowage bin on a BA flight arriving into T5 so used the site mentioned above. Never saw it again. Now had the same happened in somewhere like Japan I know I’d have got it back. In the UK, 50:50 at best.

OP - good luck. Definitely some chance it will be returned but be prepared for worst. Do you have the serial number. If you provide that and it’s handed in, you’re probably fairly certain to get it back.

Sadly not. I never even thought about it. It never crossed my mind that my daughter wouldn’t bother to put it back in her bag when she was done with it. It has a VERY distinctive case on it and I’m pinning my hopes on that. I’ve also just remembered about travel insurance, our excess is £50 so that might be the way to go.

Don’t give up hope just yet - my son left his iPad on the plane and it was quite a few days later I was told they had found it.

It’s telling us it’s offline just now. I’ll keep checking it to see if whoever has it links it to the internet.

Having seen various undercover and security videos from certain airports of their baggage handlers, It does not follow that the tablet would even have been safe from theft if handed in.

Being a retired DC, perhaps I have a rather cynical view of the UK today.

My son and his fiancé flew out to Rhodes July 2018 for their wedding and he left his iPad in the seat pocket on the plane.
We were flying out 3 days later so I phoned lost and found at Manchester airport and someone had handed it in so I picked it up after we'd checked in for our flight but it did cost £20 to collect it.l

I also found a tablet in the seat pocket 2 years ago on our connecting flight from Atlanta which I handed in.

There are some honest people out there so you might be lucky and get it back.
