Welp, the Bug Bit!
First timers here. Sitting in bed in Royal Pacific typing this after 10 days in AKL and 4 days here at Universal. Absolutely loved Disney. 🥰😍🥳🤩
Universal is a different matter... Anyways, we will be booking again for 2021. Around October. Any idea when I should be looking for free dining coming out? Presumably April?

I know the feeling. It will be the most expensive bite you will ever receive!
It is likely to be around April. Just keep an eye Thedibb and you will not miss a launch providing they offer it again for 2021.

Totally get you (although we love universal too).
First time for us in 2017 (AKL) then went again Oct 2019 (POFQ). It definitely didn’t have the same ‘magic’ 2nd time around but we made sure we did a lot of things we didn’t do the first time which kept it interesting. Also we went a a slightly slower pace. We still absolutely loved the holiday! We’ve said we’ll leave it 3 years before going back this time as we want to keep it special and obviously gives us more time to save. Disney didn’t give free dining for Oct 2020, well it stopped 3rd Oct I think which was no good for our half term. Hope they bring it back in the future. Enjoy your last few days x |

I went back to POFQ this year hadn't been for three years, had an amazing trip. Did a few different things mixed it up a bit, hired a Mustang as Son old enough to drive. Finally being trapped there another 3 nights because of BA strike (all paid for by them) lovely

If free dining is released it is generally around the end of April however as previously said Disney didn’t offer free dining for bookings beyond the 3rd October next year.

Thanks all. So if you booked your holiday starting the 3rd October would you get free Dining for the whole duration?

Yes but there’s no way to know if the offer will be the same next year.

What's up with Universal? We were considering a few days stay there next year.

It's just not for everyone. I love it, we spend 5 or 6 days there every trip and I rate it higher than Disney in my preferences, but I also recognise that different people have different tastes.
For instance, I like Disney too but won't be setting foot in MK again as it's just not what I want out of a theme park. Others love it. Different strokes and all that.
