I’ll admit that I really wasn’t keen on it having been opening year and comparing it to Florida but I’ve been three times in the last two years (two of those times going with work so free, lucky me) and it has grown on me, Thunder Mountain is better at DLP and I really love the theming outside with the fountains, so pretty.

The partner hotels have some larger room options. Look at the Explorers hotel. It’s really not much further than Santa Fe.

We have been 3 times. Twice staying at the Cheyenne which is a superbly themed hotel and once at the Circus hotel which is a very nice hotel with better facilities than the Cheyenne but not officially Disney.

If you can get a ferry or a cheap Eurostar it doesn’t have to be an expensive trip.

We went to DLP 9 years ago, it's so easy for us as we live in the South East. We had the most amazing weather, it was so hot!
I just didn't like it, Disneyland was really pretty but I just didn't get the vibe (and don't start me on the smoking which I think is better now),

I have never been back, I just can't get excited about it. I would rather save and wait until I can go to WDW as it didn't give me a Disney fix!

We love Disneyland Paris. It's not as big a resort or has as many parks as Florida, but the park details are superb, all the architecture and art and everything is excellent, and it has a different feel overall, perhaps more "authentic" I dunno.

I’ve been going to Florida my whole life and that is definitely where my heart is, but we can’t afford to go every year. So, we went to DLP in 2015 for the first time just to get our Disney fix to get us through to our Florida trip and we absolutely loved it! It’s very different but we love both parks in different ways, I think Paris is beautiful, especially Main Street USA! We’re not able to go to WDW until 2021 due to just buying a house but we’re going to Paris in Oct and getting an annual pass so we can go next year too ☺️

I’ve been going to WDW since the 1980’s and it’s probably one of my favourite holiday destinations in the world BUT me and DH went to DLP for the first time 3mths ago with DS (18mths) and absolutely loved it!
We’d read so many negatives on here and that if you’ve been to WDW it’s a poor relation so tbh we weren’t expecting much but couldn’t have been more wrong. We stayed in Santa Fe which was fantastic and loved being able to just stroll along the riverside to the parks. The main park is stunning, much prettier than MK, castle is gorgeous, many of the rides are superior and the evening fireworks show was absolutely superb. Food was nice, all cast members were polite, and didn’t find the other guests any more annoying than in WDW. The smoking was annoying but the 3 people I asked not to smoke near us and to go into a smoking area politely apologised and left.
WDW wins for a long holiday destination-3wks! DLP is perfect for a short break - 3-7days
