Glaxo has issued a pharmacy level recall of unused stock of Zantac today, not a patient level recall, generic Ranitidine is currently not under recall. Most prescriptions will be for generic products. I am still taking mine!

I saw my GP routine appointment and take ranitidine and he said stocks were getting low and I may not be able to get it next time but there was nothing about it being removed.

Stocks of Ranitidine are fine today but will be a problem if there are any more recalls issued, Zantac makes up only a very small part of the market, there are lots of generic manufacturers. The recall for Zantac was released at about 4pm

Just got a 3 month script from GP - certainly no issues with my surgery or dispensary from Boots

Only prescription strength Zantac, not the over the counter 75mg Zantac or the generic ranitidine, which are made by another company
