I've read somewhere that the current deal will be applied to the Marvel hotel from 9th December but not sure how reliable that is? The prices of all the other hotel have all jumped today too compared to when we booked at the end of October!

Yeah I think it's worth holding off booking for a while.
I really want to go spring/summer time ideally, as we've mostly always been in the winter months, and would like to try and go when it's warmer next time. |

I priced up Run Disney weekend and got £1400 for 2 adults with tickets and half board plus. Didn't feel that bad for 3 nights tbh (Thursday to Sunday).

Disney took it over fully in June 2017.
Since the 1980's, when management consultants suggested raising ticket prices at WDW significantly and Eisner was amazed when people actually paid it, Disney has continuously probed how much they can charge until they reach the tipping point. Just doing what they should as a commercial organisation I'm afraid. If it's too pricey, they will have to lower prices. However, there is also a very valid argument that by being seen as too greedy, they disenfranchise customers, who they rely on for repeat business, and this comes back to bite them in leaner times such as recession.

We are paying exactly the same this year at DLH as we did the last time we booked DLH 5 years ago. This is with the caveats: previously diacount and u7 go free (2 kids u7) AND we went to Auberge plus inventions. This time free half board (no kids u7 now, not that it would matter).
Previously march outside all school holidays, this year december week before Christmas and we have booked Auberge, invention, california grill and remy (yes its a plus but we have never been to remy before). So in reality it works out slightly cheaper this time IF the meals are taken into account (which for some may not be relevant) Edited at 02:23 PM. |

I mean it's a nicer hotel and it'll only have been opened a few months. £133 a night isn't unreasonable. It was only slightly more than Newport Bay.

Disney have put prices up a lot. They are not that different from Disneyland Anaheim. They are investing a lot of money in the parks so they need to make that up.
