Anything with poodle in seem a very good mix.
Weve got a Yorkiepoo. I've not met another! Hes a lovely dog with a lovely temperament. He's not yappie like you might expect either!
He's 5 now and never had any worries.
We got him from a small kennels which has had a bit of a reputation for puppy farming in the past but they have been going over 20 years and I know a few people who have got dogs from them

Most poodles I know suffer separation anxiety and very needy, so maybe avoid that cross breed.

The exception might be a lab cross poodle the bigger breed crossed with poodle seems to make them more placid.

Up this end, rescue centers have been closed to viewing the dogs.

If you want a good Walker with a lovely disposition, we have a Alaskan malamute x Siberian husky’s. Very gentle and a pleasure to have around. The biggest problem is shedding.

My niece has a Springador and a Pointador.
The Springador is very active, just like a springer spaniel and very ball orientated, but has the loving nature of a Lab.
The Pointador is leggy like a Pointer but a dustbin on legs, like most Labs; he's also a very anxious dog.

If I was you I'd go down the rescue route, as you want a puppy.
With the amount of puppies bred this year, there must be quite a few in rescues right now.
Hopefully with an older dog to emulate, you won't have an anxious puppy on your hands.

Sorry to go against the grain but isn’t a puppy a bit much for a 13 year old dog to cope with?
