Avios cancellation fees

Ba/avios cancellation fees, is it per booking or per person if you need to cancel?
Also looking at booking a short haul flight, do you get 23kg luggage included?
Many thanks for any advice

Yes £35 per person.

You can book short haul flights with or without the luggage allowance in economy.

As munmun reply if the passenger cancels or amends their booking then munmun is correct it is per person.

If BA cancel your flight and you want to amend or cancel your booking then there is no charge.

Yes you can book a domestic flight using Avios and it includes baggage but as you still have to pay the taxes it isn't an economic use of Avios but it gives flexibility for changes(this is much more useful for long haul flights especially in the higher cabins).

I agree

However, this year I have booked club avios flights to Madeira with a companion voucher, something I would not normally do but we have a glut of companion vouchers and avios and it made the flight cancelable up to the day of flying with a small manageable loss.

I think the flight will be cancelled so will probably get it all back but I agree not a great use of a CV or avios.

Thanks all, we have Tesco vouchers that I may change up to get a short haul flight for a replacement iceland trip end of this year, I know it’s not great use of them and have to change up by the 18th, but if it doesn’t go ahead least it can get cancelled or we can cancel it if restrictions still in place (hope not).

Don't leave changing your Tesco vouchers until the 18th as they may not credit to your BA account do it by the 16th - if you decide to do that.

I had booked the Hilton at Gatwick for one night paying with Avios, when our Nov 20 flight was cancelled I phoned Avios and moved it to March this year they charged me £30, however last week I moved our March flights forward to Nov 21 and when I spoke to Avios to move our Gatwick hotel again, when the young man was looking at my booking he asked what I had paid £30 for I told him it was an admin fee I had to pay to move my booking, he said that was unfair and refunded me the £30, it was back on my card before we finished making the new booking.

That’s good.
I’ve just cancelled a hotel with travel republic and they refunded my card with the £15 deposit. Wasn’t expecting that
