Trusted traveler approval

Hi
Yesterday I had my trusted traveler application approved, this allow me to travel to the US and once I land not have to queue in the regular immigration lines, I just go to a computer the walk straight through. I applied for the late 2019, it was only supposed to take a few months to approve but due to the borders closing in the US they stopped giving out these. So yesterday was a huge surprise to receive the approval. Perhaps things are starting to move regarding lifting the ban

Just seen Global Entry is now only $100. Think it was a lot more before?

That’s what I paid in 2016.

For some reason I had it in my head it was $250.

We may apply for this when everything is back up and running.

It’s $100 plus the cost of the cost of a UK police check which was £42

That is good news. Is it approval and you still have to have your interview or have you already had that too.

Don't forget you still need a current ESTA to run concurrently with Global Entry

OP. Unless they have changed since we last used GE in November 2019 you still cannot get your computer slip and walk straight through

You have to go to a designated CBP Officers desk and hand him/her the slip the machine generated.

YT. We paid the same as Cabbie.

As an aside we are so hopeful for this year we renewed our ESTA's yesterday.

We have had Global entry for about 4 years it’s the best thing we ever did but I honestly cannot remember paying £42 extra for a police check.

We paid for Global Entry in Sept 2019, it took until July 2020 for them to authorise it. They now spam me every couple of days saying I can book for an interview or ask upon arrival.

Makes me laugh every time I get one!

Mine expires at the end of May 2022, however, looking at some of these waiting times I will be reapplying as soon as I can which is 12 months in advance.
