You’d have to contact Talk Talk. Although it would be BT Openreach managing the line I imagine, your dad’s contract is with Talk Talk and it’s for them to manage the fix.

I never understand when I hear this question.
You call who you pay. They are responsible. As your dad is elderly you could explain that he doesn’t have a mobile (even if he did) this should put a expedite on if he is vunersble. If it is the whole street I would assume open reach are already working on it cos there will be a lot of different providers notifying them of issues. |

Ask talk talk to raise it as a welfare case if you Dad is reliant on it for a care alarm. Just means he get priority.

It is impossible to get in touch with openreach, you have to go through your provider and they get in touch with openreach the worst company in the U.K.

Definitely your provider first. If there have been any roadworks etc nearby then the contractor could have severed the wire. Happened here when the council redid the pavement. They resolved the issue.

Took three months for my service to be reconnected once. We live in a remote area and a tree brought the line down. We were with BT, they were useless. Made excuse after excuse. They blamed Openreach, Openreach blamed BT. Both hopeless.
But you do have to get in touch with your own provider, Openreach cannot be contacted directly. I hope your dad gets his service back soon |

Each service provider would be dealing with their own contracts, so not just one company I'm afraid.
So the Talk Talk people call them, the Sky people call Sky, the BT people call BT. Those companies then all call Openreach and raise a fault for each of their customers. Openreach have many customers, but their customers are the t'interweb providers, not actually individual home owners for example. Openreach are also not BT any more (just for whoever lumped them in together earlier) :-) Fingers crossed your dad gets sorted very soon. Joa
