Is this a risky time to look for villas for 2021 ?

We are looking at going in 2021, Im currently in isolation, so I have loads of spare time. I was looking for next year and thought i'd start the villa hunt now as I have time on my hands.

Then I thought... with people losing jobs and the economy going the way it is, is booking a villa for 2021 a risky move ?

I assume the owners are going to lose alot of money over this next year, so there is an added risk of having problems in 2021 ? Villas getting sold and stuff like that ?

What do you people think ?

We have many bookings in place for 2021.
By booking now you are only risking your deposit and could be ahead of the game in choice of availability.

Hopefully most villa owners will survive ..depends how long this continues of course
Those who have a heavy mortgage will probably find it harder
I am already booked for much of 2021
If you do see something you like, why not contact the owner to see what their position is?what they advise?
Let us hope all this chaos and uncertainly will not last so very long
Happy browsing and choosing xx

Thanks for your advice. I expect 2021 to now be busier than ever, that's if this virus goes away.

I will check out all your villas too. We are looking for September 2021, early days yet, but at least now I have the time, so I might aswell be productive

I have emailed our dibb villa owner this morning to see if I can change our booking to August 2021. I don't think it's risky, as long as you know you may lose your deposit should things not be settled by then. It's giving me something to look forward to with everything that is currently going on.

We were looking to book a villa for next year. But I don’t think we could part with the deposit at the moment which some understandably require if a lower amount then maybe yes. We are looking for end of August and there was a few I was interested in to maybe do a split stay. Terrible time for the owners feel awful for them all.
