Who is good at maths?
I can’t ask my husband because its a surprise tea 🤣
I hold my hands up 🙌 I am useless 🙈 Cooking time required is 10 minutes per 100g The joint is 1.796Kg How long do I cook it for ? |

Just under 3 hours
Edited to say for the couple of minutes under it is I would leave it for 3 hours

In case you were wondering where the answer came from OP :
1.796kg = 1796g - divide by 100g so that’s 17.96 lots of 100g. It’s 10 minutes for each 100g, so Multiply that by ten to get the total minutes you need to cook it for =179.6 minutes. Round that up to the next full minute = 180 minutes to keep it simple. As most oven timers work in hours and minutes... there are 60 minutes to the hour, and 180/60 = 3, that’s three hours exactly. Don’t ever let your kids believe that maths is not useful people - this question is a perfect example of real life maths. NB: in case anyone is wondering, I’ve deliberately broken this down into more steps than it needs to be because the OP said she wasn’t good with maths and I thought it would be better to explain each bit.
