We need loads of pixie dust please
My dad was rushed into hospital last Thursday (his 79th birthday)
He is now in intensive care and is seriously ill. He has got some kind of infection (staph) which is attacking him. They think it's septic arthritis and it's landed on his spine and is all the way up and any operation would be live threatening to him so we are just praying that the drugs work. They have had to sedate him because he was very confused and agitated and as a precaution but him on a breathing machine. It's just a waiting game now to see if he responds to the drugs but we have been told that it is going to be a very long recovery. He is normally a very fit man and does not look his age, he goes to the gym, swims and you never see him sat still unless he is watching Cornonation Street or Emmerdale. We're supposed to be going to Florida in two weeks and I'm preparing the kids in case we can't go. It's the not knowing anything that's the worse. Our holiday has been planned down the the last second, everything is in a folder in date order for what we will need. My mum and dad normally share looking after our two cats and I've managed to find a cattery that have room for them if things turn out alright. I feel selfish worrying about not going on holiday, all the planning and we've all been counting the days for months. My mum says we should go, we have worked hard for it and not to disapoint the kids and that my dad would be mad at me if we cancelled. We just need a glimmer of some positive news. I'm running 3 Photopass shares and just want to reassure everyone that I won't let you down. You've all got my email address and I check them all the time so any problem just let me know. Hopefully we might bump into one or two of you.

Oh this is my worst nightmare.
My parents are 80 and like your dad, have been relatively fit and never looked their age. I sincerely hope your dad makes some improvements soon so that you're able to feel more comfortable going away. Love and hugs x x x |
