Clearwater plans
Hi, we go to clearwater overnight staying at hilton in August thurs/fri. We are wanting to incorporate the aquarium and little toot. Any advice on which one to do on first day and which one day after?
Which way round would you do things? Other than that we plan on using the beach unless there's anything else we should do? Any suggestions what time to leave watersong to go to clearwater? Newbie to clearwater and want to make the most of it so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

its about 90 miles from orlando so takes about 1:30-2:00 hours to get there
we stayed at the hilton last time, its a great hotel literally on the beach, you also get to go round a roundabout just outside the hotel, the only one ive encountered in the US there is a great place for breakfast opposite the hotel, cant recall is name but you will easily spot it, much cheaper than breakfast hotel. we went on the sea screamer dolphin trip, basically a massive iirc 75 seater speedboat they offer a guarantee if you dont see any dolphins they will give a another free trip we are going to the aquarium as well in august have a search on valpak.com for vouchers for buy one get one half price coupons other than these we will be on the beach, peir 60 at night is a great place for sunset and a browse round the market cant recommend crabby bills enough if you like seafood |

Had to laugh at your comment about the roundabout, Americans do not seem to know what to do on it!
We spent a week in Clearwater last year, and as above poster, we went on Sea Screamer which was a lot of fun. Little Toot is very popular too and I think has better dolphin spotting. We saw a couple but the speed boat element was really fun too. Last year we stayed in a cottage but this year we are going back and staying in the Hilton for a few nights. Clear Sky Cafe is probably where we'll head for breakfast, we went there for dinner last year and it was lovely Pier 60 is fun in the evening and watching the sunset is a definite highlight although we obviously can't control the weather - a couple of evenings it was cloudy (but still lovely to watch). We haven't been to the aquarium, but I would say get the boat trip done first if you can, simply because you could get some typical rainy Florida weather, which won't matter for the aquarium.

If you like pizza you have to try out Post Corner Pizza it's not too far from Pier 60 and is the best Pizza I've ever had and keep going back 20 years later

Personal opinion here but just a heads up re the aquarium. It's not a traditional aquarium in the sense more of a rehabilitation place, you look down in to pools rather than through glass on most of the dolphins/sea turtles. It wasn't like any aquarium like I've been to before. Great to see winter the dolphin with the prosthetic tail though.
