Taking sharps

Both DD and I have to take regular B12 injections and have these prescribed by the GP, however, We also "top up" with our own injections in between to keep is "level" rather than having peaks and troughs of symptoms.

We use a sharps box over here and I have our repeats for our prescribed B12, but obviously this does not cover the ones we purchase & do ourselves.

From the medical section it says we need to put them thru screening - will they not take them off us?

I was going to put the shots (1ml amps), needles, syringes and sharps box in hold luggage with a copy of the repeat.

No they won't take them from you, they're prescribed.

If you ask for a sharps box at the hotel desk, they'll give you one. There's a sharps box in every bathroom at Disney.

Thanks - the ones we will be taking are not our prescription ones tho if that makes sense.

I am prescribed a shot every 8 weeks and my DD every 12 weeks. We keep the amps here and have to go to the nurse who does the injection.

However, we buy our own and our own needles and I am on every 7-10 days and DAD is on twice weekly and it's those and the needles and syringes we will be taking so yes, I do have a prescription for B12 and it is the same type, but it's not the prescription one we are taking so not sure whether to hand or hold luggage it all.

There is no way we will manage for 3 weeks if they take the stuff off us and I wouldn't know where to start trying to buy it in the US.
