Xmas flight prices ?

Try to decide about going for xmas next year.

Can anyone tell me a rough price of what you have paid for direct flights round about the 20th for 2 weeks.

Will have to do a connecting flight from Aberdeen or Inverness so either Gatwick or Manchester flight prices would be great ✈️

Thanks

I did have a look on Sky scanner but direct flights are coming in at £1100 pp so just wondered what everyone else paid to get a rough idea if that's the usual prices.

We usually go in July or October so used to paying about £500 -£600 pp for flights.

2 ad 3 ch BA flydrive 8th-22nd Dec GLA-LGW-MCO with Chevrolet Tahoe £2003 booked during the December sale. Could've got it for £1700 if we'd taken a smaller car, but as we'd budgeted £2k we upgraded the car.

The total cost of Dec (inc park tickets) was still cheaper that 2 weeks all inclusive in the canaries.

xx

We've been a few times over Christmas and we are going again this year (flying out on 16/12). I'd budget minimum £850 pp for flights. This year when we decided to travel (April) flights were around £850 direct from MCR on 16/12 (obviously they increased the closer to Christmas you were flying) so we opted to book a package with TC instead, which we felt was a better deal.
Last time we travelled at Christmas (2011) flights with Virgin worked out at around £750 pp and that was travelling out the week before Christmas and coming back around 5th Jan.

Exactly the same flights as us... so excited but have never been at this time before. We normally fly out on 27th Dec.
