Plaza Gardens v. DLH breakfast

We have the full buffet breakfast included at DLH, but would like to do the Character breakfast at Plaza Gardens one morning. We only want to do it if the food is the same quality, and variety. We love the DLH breakfast, especially the pancakes and donuts! and the children particularly wouldn't be happy to lose these! Any advice please? Thank-you.

I had breakfast at PG yesterday but i'm not really able to compare with DH as I've not stayed there. What I can say is PG is pretty standard. They have hot items that are in all the hot breakfasts and a limited amount of breads, pastries, cereals, and cold items. I didn't see doughnuts but they did do pancakes.

I would say you'd be fine but the selection probably won't be as comprehensive.

We're staying at DLH in just over 2 weeks with full breakfast included and have upgraded to PG for one morning. I can report back then if that's not too late unless someone comes back to you before hand

I'd be interested to know about this too, so it would be great if you could report back after your trip. We haven't booked meals yet, but are planning to get premium half board and have the DLH breakfast but go to PG one morning.

We are going Mon. to Fri. of half-term week i.e. 29th May to 2nd June. The only times still available at Plaza Gardens are the Thursday -first sitting, and both sittings on the Friday. I found a good video on utube showing most of the food items. As it looked very similar to DLH, and it seems to be booking up quickly, I decided to go ahead and book. It cost 5euros each, (euros because I had made the original booking on the Irish site), and only 5 because we have breakfast included at the DLH, so I just had to pay the price difference.
I will let you know how what it's like when we get back.

So can you book now and still use your meal plan breakfast voucher towards it? I was thinking of calling to add on our meal plan soon, but I thought you had to wait until 3 days in advance if you weren't paying for it separately. And if the advance reservation slots are getting booked up, do they hold back some slots to release 3 days in advance, or is that them all gone?

I called and booked/paid for premium meal plan for my parents the other day and booked PG for them at the same time with no supplement to pay.

Can't help on them saving slots, sorry.

Aha! Just been hunting around to figure out where you'd replied about PG & meal plans, and found it here. I wasn't sure anyone would reply since I was hijacking this thread a bit 😊 Thanks again!

No problem! Not sure what the jerking bit was meant to be 😂? I think I was meaning I can't help with them saving slots for those not on a plan? 😂
