How do i get a "rollator" on the plane
Wife has one of thesehttp://www.betterlifehealthcare.com/view/aluminium-transport-rollator/9820/?awaid=6868&awc=6868_1495925955_32777f6cf8c45ee892 9a8ecfbced0ef1&utm_source=Affiliate_Window&utm_med ium=Affiliate_Marketing&utm_campaign=78888&awpid=7 8888
which she uses to help her to walk, and sit on to rest. How do we get this on the plane - does it get checked in with cases or do we take it right up to boarding? Is it likely to come off at the other end undamaged? |

You can take it to the gate or plane door depending on what's needed and then it will be brought to the plane door on landing. Or you could check it in and use a wheelchair which may be easier and avoid a lot of walking.

Thanks
my main concern is the state it will come out the other end. Does taking it to the gate mean it is put on last and more likely to be less damaged? But does it mean we would be last off the plane whilst we waited - I am conscious of the immigration queues. If checked in with cases does it come out on the cases carousel? |

We have always checked it in as my son has a wheelchair as well. So it came out with cases never had any damages. If you use a wheelchair at mco there is a separate immigration que so you don't wait too long.
You do have to use second bag drop though as cases can't be taken in the lift ( unless you split up and meet at the top) |

I thought perhaps bungee chords around the rollator then the twirly shrink wrap guy at the airport?1?
I'm looking for similar info, bought a rollator after a fall in late May caused a hip replacement op. Aer Lingus are saying mine will need to be checked but as yet I haven't managed to find a carrier big enough, any ideas would be welcome |

Not sure which terminal you were using but I've never seen a separate line we've always been put in which ever line is shorter (which is usually the US immigration line when a UK plane lands). The line can be just as long as the regular line. To add we've flown through MCO about 4 times in the last 2 years and many times before then (I think we are on our 50th visit to be honest as been going since 1989)

Does the manufacturer of the rollator have a range of padded bags? I’m sure I read on here ages ago of a firm that makes made-to-measure covers for buggies. You could then wrap it up in bubble wrap inside the case and check it in, using a wheelchair to get to and from the gate.
