we're going to have to wait longer in order to save enough - by the time we get to a decent amount i bet the price will have rocketed again.

the difference in the exact same package we've got for this year is nearly £1000 more for 2018

After coming back from our, ahem, 3rd 'once in a lifetime holiday'... We decided we needed to go back again next year.
We booked in March and then change in prices really shocked us... Park tickets seem to have accounted for a fair proportion of our rise.
We carefully thought out our plans and decided that we'd go for 10 days instead of 14... And we will probably only do Disney this time.
We've got free dining and $400 in Disney Gift Cards so our budgeting is all sorted and I would imagine we will only take a much smaller amount of spending money.

If you can afford it and no issues in doing so, then why not go for it.

As they say "someone on the titanic waved away the sweet trolley... ."

I'm already looking at options for next year and not even been this year yet

Yes we aren't doing universal this time. It was reported yesterday the alcohol plan has added 13% on the Disney price as USA dining was released so it's obviously had an impact on uk bookings except they didn't release this info until most people had booked as well as brexit. Our holiday cost us no more it the extras that have bumped up the price.

We looked at many combinations, staying at different resorts with QSDP or DDP. In the end we have reduced our stay from 21 nights to 18 to bring the price down to what we're happy with. Still paying more than originally planned but at least we're finally going back to our happy place 😃

We are only doing Disney this year and flying indirect. Made the holiday cost a fair bit less than we paid last year😊

Flying indirect, not doing Universal, taking as much food as we can, cereals, tea, coffee etc
Will only eat out once a day, more meals in villa etc
Hiring one large van instead of 2 cars, to save on parking fees.
Booke a 3 night hotel room on Hotwire paid £25 per night.
Need more ideas to save money.

Yes, not doing Universal this time, can't justify the price increase don't think what they added is worth the difference tbh, just feel Disney is more value for money even with their increases.

We booked quite late this year to go having said we wouldn't go then we were going etc.

We booked all DIY we always do it always works out cheaper. Flights were the dearest we have ever paid though then the Disney tickets but they are worth the money when you compare the price of a 14 day to just doing 1/2 days.

We plan to spend more time exploring Disney this time not shopping as much and we are going to try have breakfast before we leave in the mornings as we were in IHOP nearly every other day.

Also last year we had a load of adr's at Disney BOG, Liberty tree, dessert party, etc this year we have none and will be mainly be sticking to quick service places and cheaper eats of site!

For us it was cut out all that or not go it just seems to be getting so expensive!
