See, I just don't understand that at all. How can it be so different?! I would have (obviously wrongly) assumed they just converted the same price into GBP. I think that's really naughty.

We booked through NCL.com rather than .co.uk too.

Thanks Karen. I've heard there isn't much choice but we'll see

I agree about those prices, it makes no sense really!

What a bargain Mandy - the food sounds like it was first class. Fantastic value for money and lovely surroundings too - the cabin looks very well appointed.

Pam.

it all looks fantastic, thank you for sharing, and what a bargain...definitely something to think about for the future...like the idea of being able to drive down to Southampton (albeit a fair journey) instead of flying...will definitely check out ncl.com.

can i just ask, were there many children on board? did they seem to be having a good time?

thanks

On the weekend trip there really weren't that many children, no. Those that we saw seemed to be having lots of fun though I think there'll be more on our cruise next month as it'll be summer holidays.

Are there any similar cruises for 2010 ? .

... still think you should organise a Dibb meet on one of these for us ... it would be so rude not to go

Sadly it seems the Jade won't be sailing from Southampton next year. The Jewel will be going from Dover, but just doing Baltic I think. Apparently Southampton wasn't a very successful port for NCL ... Mind you, they've just done a deal with Thomas Cook, who are now publiscising the cruises a great deal more...I think that was much needed!

Hi Ste
Checked on the US site and in the brochure and doesn't seem there is a mini break at that time. They were all in May or June it appears.
