Wear it as a badge of honour - some threads have a life of their own. My mom always said, ‘Threads are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.’

They are lovely big semi’s, but I won’t buy one as ‘some’ of the neighbours have sofas/armchairs in their gardens.

You mean those sofas and armchairs live in their gardens all the time?

I’ve got an old school friend who lives on an estate like this. Her house is immaculate and beautifully decorated yet some of her neighbours seem to have no standards. Old sofas, broken toys and rusting bbq in the garden. Just left there to rot until they move on to their next property and the council comes in to do a big clearance and clean up before a new tenant can move in. Not only does it look awful but attracts vermin too no doubt. It’s like a set from Shameless.

Oh yeah our current rental place is in a nice area but our neighbours are gross. They left this large paddling pool out for months with the water turning into green soup- you probably can't tell but there's a cm thick layer of flies on the top. Which of course meant we ended up with loads of flies in our garden too

They eventually let the water out and then left it crumpled up to rot in their garden for a whole year, 6 months of which it was joined by their Christmas tree.

It's great if leaving furniture can be mutually beneficial to the buyer and seller. When my sister bought their house they paid the seller £400 for pretty much a whole house full of furniture as the lady was moving into her partners house and needed rid of it all. Sister was living in furnished rented so needed everything! And it was all nice solid wood stuff so they got it for a steal.

We live in unfinished rented at the mo so just needed the white goods. We did enquire with the sellers if they were wanting to leave any of them/sell them to us but they wanted to take with which obviously is fair enough!
