Car hire - Barcelona airport

Hi
We are hoping to visit Portventura next year and will possibly be flying into Barcelona.
Has anyone experience of renting a car instead of a transfer?

Cant help with car hire sorry. We flew into Barcelona in August and stayed not far from Port Aventura, we caught a bus, bus planna I think it was called. We are a family of 5 and found it really easy. We have in fact booked the same flights and apartment for next August. Just waiting for Attraction tickets direct to have sale Port Aventura tickets.
