I always panic with the turkey!
So far nobody has thrown up though 🤷

Do they give full cooking instructions? Ooh no excuses for me this year, at least I won't poison my mum and her fella haha, I don't think I'll be checking out the exciting vegetarian section unless they are offering me a new twist on sprouts 😂😂😂... I will however be extensively checking their "afters" and "puddings" section... Purely for research purposes cos everyone knows you don't count calories at Christmas and there's no such thing as slimming world syns 😉 edided to add... Just saw pic you added who eats dettol 😳😳

I'm a serial overcooker... Plenty of gravy is a friend in our house

I use a roasting bag and cook the blessed thing upside down (so it’s sitting on the breast meat). The most delicious turkey every time and never dry.

You’re welcome

My mum once did this by accident (Turkey was too big for the oven otherwise) and it was the best we’d ever had!
We now all do the same.

Never used a bag though, do they come big enough for turkeys?

Yes, you can get extra large bags on amazon or fleabay... I always use them keeps the juices in, cuts down on the washing up and keeps the oven cleaner...

What is it with Christmas lunch? I can cook a roast but panic when it’s Christmas, it’s all the present opening and laying the table and starters and pudding. I can’t cope even with dh poring wine, sorting desert, making coffee and helping! It should be opening presents and a buffet!

I cook the turkey and prep the veg on Xmas Eve. Then, it's a simple matter of assembling stuff on the big day

Thanks Waitrose. That could have been embarrassing!

You’ve got to wonder how many complaints they’ve had to make that statement necessary?
I understand this is in jest, but to be fair they are showing a photo of a cooked turkey rather than a raw one, so some might be forgiven in thinking they are buying a cooked one like the rotisserie chickens you can buy.
