They are monitoring the hurricane minute by minute and have taken the decision to stay open.
This gives us some hope for our Tuesday flight.

Hurricane Dorian is no longer predicted to make landfall in Florida, but is instead, heading further north to Georgia and the Carolinas.

That good news for Florida, not so good for the Carolinas!

Flights from the UK will have to fly well inland surely as they normally fly down the east coast

We appreciate that and know that TC would not fly if they felt it was not appropriate.
It’s been a dreadful couple of days trying to find out updates.

This holiday is to ‘redo’ our December holiday, after my doctor phoned the evening before to say I was being fast tracked as she suspected I had cancer. Our ‘Happy Place’ didn’t seem as cheery due to a huge cloud hanging over my head.
I came home to investigations and indeed I did have cancer.
I’m in remission and we decided to book Orlando again, to overwrite last years sad memories.
Whilst I’ve always hoped we would fly on Tuesday, I’m very mindful of the millions of people who may be affected and pray that Dorian blows her way out into safer waters x x

Message on MCO web site that they will, now not be closing at 2am Monday and instead will monitor the situation
