Malta accomodation...
We've just booked 11 nights in Malta for next May/June as a 70th birthday treat for my parents before we drag them around Florida for 18 days lol.
Got some great flights with Air Malta (£350 for both of them with bags and seats!) and now need to find accommodation. We haven't been to Malta since I was a little girl, so am looking at some recommendations for accommodation. They prefer apartments to hotels as like to have a bedroom and kitchen, plus would need a pool and some bars/restaurants within walking distance. They both have arthritis and have had their hips replaced, but can still get about. Anyone have any ideas? I have looked at Expedia and everything is either a hotel or a private rental but would rather look at apartments first! Thanks!

We’ve been a few times but always stayed in hotels, however, I just had a look on google and there seem to be no shortage of apartments to rent.
Air bnb is one option, even booking.com seem to have some listed. I guess it all depends on which area you want to be staying in. |

My daughter and I visited Malta last April. I hadn't been there for about 30 years (used to visit regularly as have family there) and it was massively different to what I remember. I think you do need to do some research and choose area carefully, depending on what their needs are.. Bugibba, Quawra and Sliema are on the flat with promenades to walk round. Sliema might be a good option for them and there's a short ferry ride across to Valetta too. Lots of shops and bars/restaurants on the front. We actually walked from Sliema back to our hotel in St Julians one afternoon along the prom following the coastline. Bus service is really good around there too
