We have kids that are out at activities until 9pm 4 out of 5 weekdays, then often early weekend mornings too. Drinking at home doesn't cross the radar and nights are are few and far between.

Pre-kids seems a long, long time ago now, and even then we didn't drink at home, but we did drink more as we went out more.
Am lucky in that I can take it or leave it. If we go out with friends I'm more than happy to be the driver. DW spent a lot of her life being the only one capable of driving so I'm more than happy to do my share.

I don’t drink at home every night, but if money, weight and health were no issue then I would love to.
I absolutely love wine, it’s a hobby of mine going round the world doing wine tours and the like.
I rarely drink anything else, cocktails on holiday, the odd cider in the summer, but I do love wine.

I need to lose weight, so I am trying very hard to cut down and only drink when out and about, and encorporate it into my calories for the day, but it is hard.

It’s my main vice really, I could give up chocolate for life no problem at all, I hate cake, can’t eat ice cream anyway, but I just really enjoy a glass of wine.

Ahh well.

As for the drinking, I only last a couple of days and then I either see a programme where they are drinking wine, or we go to friends and I am offered a glass of wine and bingo, I drink.

I would dearly love to give up drinking, great at the time but that's it. We are going all inclusive to Tenerife and the cocktails are amazing...… I would like to say I am going to be good, but I know I wont.

Hope you do well. xxx

I work in London up to four times a month and the pubs around Westminster are rammed every night when I walk to my hotel .
I don’t drink up there as most people I know live outside of central London and just want to go home and we can’t afford it !
Travelling home on a 4 hr Friday commute some people are really winding the drink in them .
I saw a guy drink 3:5 bottles of wine the other week and he said to me “ I have had a long week , don’t tell the wife when she picks me up “ 😁unless she had no sense of smell I think she would know !

Good luck
I don’t drink maybe a few glasses a year, but could not give up CAKE or Chocolate
It’s hard to deprive yourself of something completely as you just crave it then, maybe just try to cut your intake at first 🤔

My philosophy, if it's not in the house, I can't have it.
Someone needs to have a word with the me that does the shopping!
