With all these really dreadful horror stories why do become LLs and even more why do they continue?

I continue because overall I have great tenants. I guess so do most LLs.

We became LLs because we have no real pension as we are self employed

We had paid off our mortgage so we remortgaged to get the deposit on 5 buy to lets

We have had good and bad tenants

One of them at the minute is particularly bad. The house was immaculate when they took it over and they have wrecked it. We have let them stay because they pay well and they have two small children who I wouldn't want to put out on the street
We know the house is going to have to be gutted if they ever leave. Though it is getting to be tricky to know what we should repair/replace as wear and tear and what we say no to as damage caused by them

Even with problems though we are still glad we have gone down that route
