I would ask them if they tip at buffets but the tip might end up on my washing.

I soaked some mealworms in warm water to soften them for the babies earlier. As soon as I put them down mum and dad blackbird had beak fulls and were doing shuttle runs to them. They are brilliant parents.
They certainly are
We have had so many different nesting birds this year it's been a marathon 😄
They've nearly all gone now except the Blackbirds, our poor cat has had to be kept in on and off for weeks because of the fledglings 🙄

We seem to be constantly filling ours up too. We’ve had to tie it to the the fence as crows were knocking it off and it wasn’t lasting 5 minutes. We’ve noticed baby birds being fed from it, so that’s been cute. They didn’t seem bothered about it over winter, in fact we had to empty it out as it was going manky. But recently they’re all coming for it.

Hi all. This, ie: bird food, is my business, my day job if you will.
Firstly - not a chance of over feeding, they feed when they need to. If they’re not eating the food you put out out it’s normally because other food sources are available.
Secondly, you should feed all year round. because it pays for my holidays! 😉

We had the same, our birds were so fussy!

We feed the ducks as we have excess bread. They only eat a little bit then swim off, not greedy at all

Yes it is. Pie and chips tends to make them a bit heavy. Keep them on salads and alcohol-free Babycham.

Randomly, the company I work for developed a mince pie flavoured suet cake for wild birds… Actual mince pies would be bad, but the flavouring was nice!
