Ours has a wire roof the same as the sides, a door to one of the sides too
It’s attached to the wall at the back of the house, so we can open the back door in the kitchen for them to go out in the Catio

We have put the cat netting around our garden so our Bengal can enjoy the whole of the garden, neighbours of ours bought a catio and seemed disappointed with their catio once they had seen ours. It depends on the shape of the garden as we couldn't put the netting up at the last house we had.

I am amazed at this we have always had cats and always let them out and in all but one place they have had a cat flap. With our two now one could probably take being restricted to something like this but the other could not. Surely cats should be allowed to roam free climb trees explore etc.

I suppose it depends where you live. We have always had free roaming moggies too (perhaps the clue is in the name) but we live in a cul-de-sac and it's like a scene from Cats out here at night. And before anyone says anything one neighbour had two beautiful Siamese and there's at least one Bengal in the gang too.
Now we don't have our own cats our garden seems to be a very popular sunbathing spot for local cats, no idea why we are so chosen.

Sadly not everyone appreciates cats and find joy in inflicting pain on them and during the current situation many many pets have been stolen ,the pet patroller missing pets website is testament to this.

I have two beautiful cats one of which is not a breed to go out exploring and has little common sense .
Its a year since we ( and the vet) believe someone stole one of my cats and when we finally after three months got her back she was about a week from dying, beaten, starved and suffering trauma.

This is why my cats are in a secure garden.
