Telling the time book

Can anyone recommend a good book to help teach a little one how to tell the time please? We are fighting a losing battle!

I have a clock ink stamp and have taught my grandchildren that way. They enjoy stamping and then writing in the time I suggest, like a game. They also like little time tests.

I’ve tried finding one of these stamps…but instead, have printed a load of blank clock faces out..

OP, how old is the child? We are getting there slowly…O’clock and 1/2 past we have got, now on 1/4 past and to. We got her a teaching watch from Amazon…pink and unicorns, and she is loving it. Hoping to crack it over the holidays.

I would get a simple teaching clock. We had a similar in a book. And just start with the basic o'clock. Don't make it too complicated too quickly... Good luck.

Interestingly enough, we don’t start teaching time until children are in year 3. It begins with o’clock and half past before moving on to quarters, then 5s before to the minute. And digital is taught alongside this.
I use paper circles which. We fold in half before quarters and then label as we move on.
A quick google will bring up loads of worksheets and YouTube videos

Thanks everyone, I’ll take a look at your suggestions. There are a lot on Amazon and of course, you can’t actually open them to look at them, your ideas are things I hadn’t thought about.

Dunelm had a lovely teaching the time wall clock at £8, I saw it yesterday and commented to my husband if we still had little ones what a lovely clock it was.
