Me too! Also I have my student son with me & there’s no money in his account so I’d need to be paying for him! 😆
When do you go? Hope you have a great time!

We are going to Alton Towers tomorrow for the day and then driving down to London from there. Spending Tues/Wed/Thurs evening at a Premier Inn outside London. So just going into London on Wednesday and Thursday. Friday, taking the boys to an RAF museum.
It’s not Florida but it beats sitting at home in the rain.😅 |

Aww have a fab time!
Yeah, I know we should be there too atm, so we’ve done a Disney cruise & a trip to London followed by another Disney cruise to make up for 2 years of missed Florida! 😆

The advantage of Oyster cards and contactless bank cards/phones over paper tickets, is that Oyster cards are much cheaper and capped. Meaning the most you will pay in a day will never be more than a travelcard.
Oyster/contactless journeys are much much cheaper than a regular single ticket. Whatever you do, don’t buy a single journey paper ticket! Also, if you have a railcard (like 16-25 for example) you can get the station to link it to your Oyster card, and you get an extra third off the oyster prices. So my advice would be 1st choice - Contactless bank card/phone/Apple Watch 2nd choice - Oyster card. If you get a regular one rather than a visitor one, you can get the £5 refunded at the end of your trip. 3rd choice - travelcard. If you have a railcard, then get an Oyster card and link it to your railcard. You need one Oyster card or contactless bank card per person. |
