We had a great laugh - she prepared a really sumptuous dinner and much gin, wines and port was had while blethering away. We dissected The DIBB and blessed it for getting us intouch and finding a true lovely new friend for life. Watch out Clapham and Richmond - Gull and family have an open invite to come and visit anytime

I’m so glad I spotted this thread and it brought us together ❤️ It really was a great weekend and so good to see the island through new eyes and visit places I take for granted and not been to for a while.

Landed back at Heathrow after a great morning in Kirkwall and a fabulous business class flight back to London - but I can’t shows those photos on here !

Thank you - it was. Although there was an excess of great local foods, gin (Sanday gin and ginger beer is a fabulous drink) and wine consumed (every day) but the excess of love, laughter and memories really was wonderful especially after the covid days (although Orkney is still sort of lockdown down with hotels and pubs not open yet as London /England was a few months back) - meeting Gull was the definite high point not just of this trip but of this year
