I’d take the four nights in early December versus three over Christmas as not everything will be open Christmas Day itself so you’ll be trying to pack everything into a much tighter timeframe.
If you go for early December watch out for the Santa convention , multiple Santa’s in groups all over the city that weekend |

Definitely at least 4 nights if possible, there’s so much to do!

Thanks everyone, my husband would rather do the four nights, mainly so we are at home for xmas day as our girls are still quite young and believe in santa. Does anyone know if the shop window displays will be done for end nov/early dec? Also will dyker heights display be available then?
Thanks! |

Yes all the window displays will be up and running , the Rockefeller tree lighting is normally just after thanksgiving so depending on that date , just check out their site for dates.
Sorry I can’t say on the dyer heights but I’d imagine they would. A visit to Santa at Macy’s would be great for your girls , the same place as in Elf 🎄 |

Yes, I agree, go early december, you get the black friday sales, and all the Christmas decs everywhere. Four nights is the perfect amount of time to enjoy the trip properly.

We went five Decembers running until last year 🙄 I love NY in December. I have dyker heights photo from 1st December there was definitely less decorations compared to when we went the weekend before Christmas but still loads to see.
The Christmas show at the Rockefeller is great, my photos are 30th November so lots to see end Nov/early Dec. Also the pedi cabs in Central Park are worth doing. I’ll see if I can find the name of the guy someone on here recommended. |

Loved NYC at Christmas, we went on Christmas Eve. It was very busy but most things open over Christmas. We stayed at the Marriott Marquis Times Sq.
