Thanks everyone for their kind wishes
I took her back to the vet this morning as she’s still not eating and is just lying down though she has had some water.
The staff were really pleased to see her and the vet said she is much better than yesterday- though to me she seems quite poorly still - they all seemed relieved and made me realise even more what a close call we’ve had .
He said her appetite may be the last thing to return .
The worrying thing about this is that there is no antidote only symptom management.

This was on the river Taff below Merthyr.
The vet told us not to stop her going in the water as she’s a Lab it would be cruel
I will be very careful in future though .We are assuming it’s the river it could have been our garden pond .We will be putting g a grid over this on the weekend. She’s accompanied out the garden now.
She has just started to eat and is currently being hand fed warm chicken by DH !

Hopefully yours will make a good recovery, sadly a lot dont. It's been around for many years now but with so many new lockdown dog owners there have been a lot more dogs succumbed this year as the new owners have no idea about it. Most places, as you say, put up a notice but sadly a lot dont.

I think it will be a slow recovery she’s eating tiny amounts now but still very very lethargic
