Nice boat MH and much nicer than the dinghy you currently have, I was also in Southampton today dropping dd of at at her uni house. Your mum will be fine, get her some thermals and a fleece blanket and a hot water bottle, I’m sure she’d rather have her wonderful son enjoying his life with her money.

MH, yours looks like it will go flacid over time. Will it remain rigid like Micks or do you need to inflate it.

Unfortunately mine does get a little limp at times and regularly needs a good pumping up.

My mum wants me to be happy and if that means she doesn’t have much in her savings account then I’m sure she wouldn’t mind if she knew.

I thought Southampton had an open day today but I might be wrong. I didn’t think second year students started back until the end of September?

Yes I think they did, she’s just moved in today to be with her friends and she hasn’t got her timetable yet. Hopefully this year will be fun with some in person learning! I would share your news with your mum just to see what she says and then come on here and tell us!

I could suggest you call it after your dear Mum, so that when she has her wee outing, she is in no doubt about her generosity. You could always ask her to crack a small bottle of Asda Smart price prosecco over the bow.
