We have hired bicycles as most people do here in Kos, today we cycled about five miles each way to Tigaki beach which was wonderful, big stretch of yellow golden sand and lots of greek families enjoying the sun. Glad to see you're having a great holiday.

We stayed in Tigaki several years ago and really liked it there.

We arrived in corfu today, plf and vaccine certificates weren't even looked at in the airport, 25 minutes from landing to being in taxi! Jet 2 did check we had the correct t documents at check in though

Great news, good luck with forms am dreading them for some reason, just feels like a burden to be worrying about while on holiday. Enjoy your last couple of days x

What a complete, confusing, badly written pile of rubbish the Govts plf’s are.

Several questions asked multiple times just in a slightly different way. Ambiguous wording to a lot of it. Questions that you have to answer even though you have already said you are double faxed so they are not applicable.

Then finally their qr code reader decides not to work - and won’t let you try again - despite there being an edit questions button.

Now faced with getting in a long border queue to show our fax very rather than using the e gates

The Greek govt can manage a simple and efficient website and form but that is beyond our Glorious Govt.

Dreading this!

Yesterday we took a boat trip, to two small islands, one was Pserimos, only accessible by ferry or boat, in winter eighty inhabitants, I felt sorry for them, they were inundated with boats full of tourists yesterday which clearly gives them income they need but must be soul destroying for their peaceful island lifestyle…beautiful place though and a lovely day.

This elderly man was selling greek herbs in bags for 2euros, I bought some as our son is a chef but worried about getting through customs 🤣 looks dodgy!

We finished our day with another dinner by the sea. It was bliss.

Today was very windy here in Kos, we tried going to the beach but it was just too much so stayed by the pool.

This evening we went to Zia, up in the mountains, it is a very pretty village, full of little shops, restaurants and a lovely church. We lit a candle for a friend of ours who had a funeral for her husband today, he had the same cancer as my husband so it was a very emotional moment for us.

Then we had dinner while the sun was setting, it was beautiful.

Yesterday we were supposed to have a beach buggy for the day but on trying it my husband said it was like driving a shopping trolley and so the rental owner gave us a cabriolet instead for the same price (€100 for the day) we went off exploring down the ‘other end’ of Kos, starting in Mastichari, for a drink (too windy to do much else) then down to Paradise beach, also known as Bubble beach due to the bubbles in the sea from volcanic activity below. This beach was heaven! So quiet, soft sand, calm shallow water, warm sea, we loved it.

Then later we had dinner in Kos old town, just opposite the tree of Hippocrates (its not actually from the same era he was alive but is very old) most of the ruins churches and buildings here are scaffolded after the devastating earthquake of 2017.
There was live music with dinner it was really lovely.

I am absolutely loving your photos, looks like you are having an amazing time

I remember going to bubble beach probably about 25 years ago with my best friend and boyfriends ( later to become husbands) but we travelled in style wearing crash helmets in a mini moke to get there, was such fun
