Just back from our week, loved our accommodation, weather mixed but still did not spoil the week got plenty done. but the traffic was something else as were the queues for everything, did not successfully manage to eat out (other than fish and chips) all week due to everywhere being booked up or limited due to covid )limited capacity and no walk ins or closed due to covid. feel sorry for those places and people working in them. abersoch was a no go area. whilst asda pwllhelli was like end of days!. Criccieth was more manageable as was Porthmadog.

Hi there, we live in Nefyn, not sure if you ventured over here? ironically we were in Cornwall last week? were you the dibber that booked accommodation on the Pwllheli to Caernarfon road?

I’ve not attempted to get into abersoch for a long time or Asda in the Pwllheli either, hope they didn’t spoil your holiday x

yes thats me, loved the farmhouse, the family that own it (local farmers) are moving in at christmas so it will no longer be a let, we would go back there otherwise

we did come over to Nefyn, and it was lovely, we had two nights booked at the cliffs, both cancelled as they had to close due to staff member getting covid (back open tonight), Ty Coch a non starter , Y Bryncynan fully booked all week for food (only skeleton staff due to self isolating) even the chippy had a queue right down the road. the Ship Edern had walk ins but very very late.

Yes, we saw the Cliffs had closed just as we were going away, the Ty Coch is always rammed (amazing as you can’t actually drive there), you could’ve tried the Nanhoron hotel in Nefyn, the food there is fabulous, but not sure how busy they are at the moment, did you call at Tyddyn Sachau? the cafe there is very good x

Tyddyn Sachau what a lovely place that was, just a walk across the road too, we loved Islyn bakery too.

did not try Nanharon, but if everywhere else was full. We ended up picking stuff up for meals in at Aldi Porthmadog which was suprisingly civilised compared to the carnage in asda!. we will be back, just not in peak season
