Birmingham Christmas markets

Hello😀

My mum has always wanted to go to Birmingham for the Christmas markets so I am thinking of planning us a trip in December.

Has any got any advice for Birmingham? Where to stay:
/where not to stay would be helpful if anyone has any ideas?

Thank you.

Thank you, I will take a look! Central is what I’m looking for so this looks like a good location. I always get very nervous going away with my mum as we will be two lone women (I’m probably paranoid). We’ve done Leeds, Liverpool & Belfast so far and this is another one she wants to tick off.

I stay often for work and use Premier Inn City Centre (New St Station) it’s right at the train station looking opposite to the apple store. Restaurant is really nice. x

That’s really helpful thank you! She’s been wanting to go for a long time so hopefully the markets go ahead and she gets the trip!

Thank you! That one looks quite close to where the markets are which could be a good option for my mum as she isn’t great mobility wise, she tires easily.

Don't feel like you have to walk the whole length of the market if she gets tired. We found the stalls definitely repeated a few times along the whole stretch.

I’d say if you can avoid going on the weekends try to, it really does get very very busy (well before Covid anyway) and packed with people drinking and eating, weekday mornings you’d be able to much better get around the stalls, it’s also very spread out x
