Cheshire - help
Hello dibbers, I’m looking for recommendations for a nice hotel in Cheshire for DH and I to spend our wedding anniversary around the weekend of 23rd October, now this may be school holidays, I’m not sure, we’d like something with a few facilities and maybe not too far from Chester Zoo, apart from Airport hotels it’s somewhere we’ve never stayed, as we’re in NW Wales we’re looking for somewhere maximum of 2 hours drive away x

Hilton Doubletree in Chester. Lovely spa facilities included in the room rate. Minutes from Cheshire Oaks and Chester shops

Only one I can recommend is Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa. Lovely place, with very nice spa and restaurant. We stayed here for one night last Christmas!
About 20 mins away from Chester Zoo and 10-15 mins from Chester.

A good option would be Carden park and spa.
New spa facilities opened last year and look amazing. Relaxing anniversary treat maybe ? Good location for Chester zoo, Cheshire oaks and even some popular canal / walking trails. |

The Grosvenor Pulford is lovely our son got married there 5 years ago and everything was perfect.
I believe they’ve had a bit of a refurbishment since then so would imagine it’s even nicer now. Carden Park is another good one. We stayed there for a night a few years ago and throughly enjoyed it There are also a couple in Wales but not far from the Cheshire border they’re both in Rosset and are Llyndir Hall and Rosset Hall I’ve never stayed in either of them but have been to weddings at both which were very nice

three solid choices in the Chester Grosvenor (with its Michelin star restaurant and central location), doubletree (great spa and close to zoo) and grosvenor pulford (lovely overall option) further out Carden is great and just had new spa upgrades, Nunsmere Hall, Willington Hall also within short distance but more rural. also Rowton Hall in Waverton has a lovely spa rooms and food
