What happens if you test positive in France?

I haven't been able to find an answer to this anywhere, so thought the Dibb might know!
We're hoping to travel to DLP in October half term. As it stands we'd need to test in the 3 days before we return.
Does anyone know what happens if you test positive while there? (Presumably backed up by a PCR test), do you have to isolate in some kind of quarantine facility?

My fear is getting a positive test and getting stuck with 2 kids in a holding hospital of some kind with limited french... I can't see anything to answer this online which hopefully means it's not happening very much!

Hi how long are you going for? We are going in December for 3 nights and will do our test in the Uk ready for our return as it will be within 3 days of doing the test that we arrive back in the Uk.

Thats what we are planning to do as well, my anxiety couldn't take the risk of a positive result abroad.

4 nights (Mon-Fri) so we can't manage that trick sadly! I was thinking we'd do it as early as possible so we're as sure as we can be it's negative from LFT at home before we go. If we depart Friday and it's three days before, does that include Friday (so Wednesday) or would it be Tuesday onwards?

You could take the test any time on the Tuesday.

We are booked for more than three days too. I will do the test sooner rather than later, but I will also bear in mind that I might need to extend the stay (and I would expect that to be in a hotel of my choosing).

I just hope that's the case (which would be the best-worst case scenario, if insurance would pay for the stay...) as can't find any guidance anywhere on what's expected...
Will definitely test asap so it's off our minds, if we test positive at home then at least we're home!

When I booked my insurance, it said it had extra covid cover which would pay for an extended stay in a hotel if I got a positive covid test before return. So it should say on your policy. Xx

You could get one from a company that you just send a photo of LFT the test to and they send a certificate. Dont even need to do a test to get a negative result on it.

Such a stupid system as its so open to abuse. It's nothing more than a money making racket.
