QR covid vaccination code Scotland

Just seen on BBC news that as from Friday you can get a QR code to confirm your vaccination status plus you can download the information to your phone.

Typical just received the paper copy as going away on Sunday.

We have had it for a few months here in England, donít be alarmed if you see the expiry date is just a month away.
It refreshes constantly.

There are two sections to it, Domestic, and Travel.

All we need now is for the Scottish Government to approve a range of suppliers for testing kits instead of the "rip off" CTM ones 😏

DH lives in Scotland but works in England. He has travelled abroad with work a couple of times recently, flying from Scotland. His work provided him with the day 2 tests from Randox, which he used. Itís only after looking at the scotgov website for our upcoming holiday that we discovered the Randox tests are not authorised for use in Scotland. Nobody checked or questioned it, but now weíre obviously booking the much more expensive CTM ones for our holiday and feeling ripped off 😕.

Know exactly how you feel. We are jetting off to Lanzarote on Sunday and have ordered the chrometics one from Tui on the hope that it changes before we return.

I emailed our MSP (it's what us grumpy retirees do) and her team has replied by saying it is being reviewed by the Scottish Parliament and will be changed early this month.

We shall wait and see. If not changed next week I'll just order the CTM ones when we're out there.

Disneypars, that a good plan. I havenít actually ordered the ctm ones yet, will leave it for a couple of days to see if anything is announced. I also have the paper vaccine certificate without the QR code so now want to see if I can download the new one
