My dates in May for 22 nights: Costco Hertz £2000+
I keep checking but they’ve never dropped below that. 😥

It is specifically for the H4 class so is it maybe that?

It is date specific but the rates come and go, so just keep checking your dates.

The online reviews for Hertz seem pretty dreadful if not collecting from the airport. Can't find any of the offices in Orlando with a rating over 2.something (out of 5), with lots of feedback saying they didn't have the size they'd booked, some paid more to upgrade, some had to drive to the airport to swap and a few of the locations were closed when people went to collect.

Really off putting after having great service from Alamo over the years, but their prices are off the scale at the moment...

Our price is for airport pick up.

Picked up a QX50 when we arrived, the only drawback was not being able to skip the desk.
Also just be sure the agents add the additional driver - Costco bookings include them but the agent wanted to charge us the daily rate as they had "never heard of Costco bookings having that perk", only Hertz Gold (which we both have anyway) - oh but that's only when you book direct with Hertz or AAA members (we have AA in the UK). A quick call to "the office" and the free additional driver was confirmed - bit of a pain but all sorted now.
Crazy prices though how is an Infiniti QX50 cheaper than a Chevy Spark?

How’s the luggage space? We’ve had a QX80 and a QX60 in the past but I’m worried the H4 class is too small for 4 of us plus luggage.

There's only 2 of us but we had 4 cases between us and they all went into the boot, along with our backpacks.

That’s great, thanks. Should be enough for the arrival journey, may need a back up for the return .
