Unexplained flight price spike Dublin

This is a long shot, but maybe someone has some insight: Dublin - Orlando direct with Aer Lingus on Saturday March 28 2020 is almost 3 times the price of every other flight that month. The school holidays don't start for another week after that, so I don't understand the spike in price? Surely it can't be a last minute rush to qualify for free dining?! Anyone any thoughts on why it might be, and (don't laugh!) if there's any chance of a price drop?
Thanks all!

I’ve just taken a look. For some reason they have only released for sale the full price tickets in economy and business and hence the high price.

Yes these will come down at some point.

Would you have an educated guess on when/how long to hold out before grabbing an alternative?

Leave it a couple of weeks.
Keep an eye on flight sites like ITA Matrix, scyscanber etc, yiu can see a trend and prices per day around your dates

We set a price when we get our price we book if we don’t get our price we do something else, I understand this is not for everyone but we’re a4e very flexible and it works for us.

Good luck anyway

Thanks for the advice – came down by c. €500 p.p. today, so took the plunge and booked it. €3000 all in Dub-MCO direct, Mar 28 - April 16 2020, 2ad + 2 ch.
