Oops I think I’ve booked a Disney trip
I’ve not been looking to book for next year. We had hoped to book for this year to celebrate various big birthdays and our 35th wedding anniversary this year but, it wasn’t to be.
Like everyone, we had various holidays cancelled last year and didn’t go anywhere. This year we’ve booked UK breaks. I hadn’t really considered next year and felt quite complacent about whether we would go anywhere or not. But a friend and fellow Dibber booked a Disney resort last night, and I took a passing interest in her booking 🤣 and chatted about it to DH and DD and guess what? I’ve booked 5 nights at Caribbean Beach resort for next July. We may change the date if DH can book time off in work for September (but he can’t do that until January) and feel we will probably have 5 nights on-site with the dining credits and booking incentives, then 9 nights offsite and get Universal tickets too. We’d like to eat offsite more as we’ve not done that much in previous trips and we also want to visit KSC which we would book a coach trip for as we will use Uber to get around when we are offsite. We are also really excited to see Galaxy’s Edge as our last trip was in 2018. I won’t be booking offsite hotel or flights until January as we could possibly change the dates then. It’s still exciting to think that we are actually going back though, and will celebrate our wedding anniversary and DD’s 21st and DH’s 60th a year later than we planned. Sorry for the long post but I just feel happy to have plans again. If there’s one thing we’ve learnt this year it’s to enjoy our time while we can and make the most of life |

That’s brilliant, good for you! So exciting to have something for you all to look forward to! Lots of occasions to celebrate while you are away - you can now start looking at all the places and restaurants you can go to - I love a bit of planning! 😂😂

Hey there
How lovely you have a countdown and a fabulous holiday to look forward to. CBR was the first Disney resort we ever stayed in and it's a lovely resort. We've not been there when the skyliner was open and I can't wait to try it out. 5 nights will be perfect for you and you'll be able to use the skyliner for HS and Epcot. Have fun with the planning X

That’s fantastic news! Something to look forward to and plan, it’s been such a long time.
We’re hoping to go around the same time too after last year’s trip being cancelled and this year’s being a bit of a non starter. Does your DD know when her graduation ceremony will be taking place? This is the only thing holding us back as we have both DD and her boyfriend graduating next year so need to find a couple of weeks between them finishing uni and their respective ceremonies!

Thanks Abby, it’s nice to be posting on the Florida thread again 😂 Have you any plans for a return visit yet?
The skyliner sold us CBR as opposed to CSR, we’ve not stayed there before so it will be nice to try a different resort. Although like the date, the resort may change. I’ve only booked me in so far so just paid the £50 deposit so will make changes when we’ve made a definite plan. |

She doesn’t, but we can change the dates if it clashes with her graduation. I’m hoping we can change it to September really as July is so hot but we know DH has 2 weeks shutdown in July so we’ve used that as a starting date
DD is hoping to go onto a masters course, so next summer seems a perfect time to go before she’s out in the working world or looking for work opportunities I do hope you can find time between the ceremonies to book 😀 |

We’ve booked direct with Disney as we’ve always found them so easy to deal with for changes, which we are likely to have to make depending on what date we finally decide on.
We still have to sort out flights and offsite stay and Universal tickets. I’m considering a BA package for our offsite stay and flights but will shop around when we’ve locked our dates in I hope you enjoy your planning. I love Florida planning , it’s almost as much fun as the holiday. Almost 😂 |

Great that you have something booked and plans to make. We’re also thinking about splitting our next stay and looking at off site hotels so we can get two bedrooms now the girls are older.
We have stayed in Universal hotels before and also the Doubletree at Seaworld for a couple of nights on previous trips and we managed fine without a car using the i trolly and Uber. Happy planning |
