First World Problems: Changing rooms

As someone who likes to try things on rather than have the hassle of taking it back if it doesn’t, continuously shut changing rooms are driving me insane! Our town has recently just lost it’s New Look, we have a Primark which isn’t really my bag apart from accessories, so the only other one is H&M which I went in this morning just after it opened to be told the changing room isn’t opening til 11.

Anyone else like me, or am I just whinging?

On the Disney magic last week there were no changing rooms. I tried on a hoody & got told off. They said I could buy the hoody. Take it to my cabin try it on and then return it. But I couldn’t just try it on in the shop. Bearing in mind it was a hoody so I wasn’t in anyway indecent!

They then took it away as if it was contaminated for 3 days isolation!

You are technically whinging, but it's good to have a whinge every now and then as opposed to all the time like some people do.

I'm sorry for the loss of new look in your town, but regards trying things on I rarely bother beacuse even in the past when I tried things on in a changing room I would buy the item and when I put it on at home I sometimes regretted buying it. Most of my clothes are from next and I have them delivered and send them back if I don't like them.

I wonder if they also took away the table and chairs you sat on during your cruise for 3 days for isolation (not forgetting the bed you slept in etc).

Or all the clothes I had touched but not actually tried on. Totally over the top!

It's a real pain. We've lost so many shops in our town it's pointless going clothes shopping there anymore. I did find that when I went to Winchester most shops did have changing rooms open though.

With some of the people I have seen trying clothes on in our local clothes shops Covid would be the last thing I was worried about catching from them !

Yeah maybe a whinge and I’m the grand scheme of things a bit like “really? ” But I totally agree. In our town we have New Look River Island Primark and H & M. I love Primark jeans for work but every pair is a different size so no matter what have to try on. Had a right rotten time recently and the other week I thought I’m gonna just SPEND today. Armful of jeans in Primark - changing rooms don’t open til tomorrow. I literally put the jeans down on the nearest shelf and walked out. H & M their changing rooms have been closed for months - walked in, still closed - walked back out! Went home 😡
