Wise car hire

Any one heard of or dealt with these?
Says excess insurance covered but can’t see anywhere that states CDW, and not an optional extra either, what is excess insurance cover? They are asking for a deposit then balance on collection?

I assume you aren't looking at some of the Companies they use under the 'Wise' banner such as Green Motion, Zezgo, Easirent and Carwiz?

Those are all non Airport locations

Their Insurance clarification about what is covered is as clear as mud sadly.

I would rather walk.

However - Excess Protection is this.

This includes coverage for the rental car, theft of rental car. Also loss or theft of car keys, damage to windows, windscreens, mirror glass, tyres, or to undercarriage normally not covered by insurance.

I can’t even remember who they were quoting for now, it was the early hours of this morning I was looking, but as nothing was clear as to what was covered , I came off it.
Thanks Tom, definitely one I will avoid, I’m going to contact Andy, a lot of people here seem to highly recommend him?
