Need Help Please!

We are meant to fly to Florida in 8 days and then start our DVC booking in 13 days (3 separate DVC bookings). These are to use points that have been extended and will definitely expire at the end of May.

It now looks like we might not be able to go. What happens with the points if we have to cancel? Do the points go into holding, whatever that means, or do we lose them totally now.

If they go into holding can we ask in the New Year that the points get transferred to the new RCI equivalent?

Going into holding means you can only book in the next 60 days - given the low availability that's some gamble.

I'd be looking up the Facebook threads on here and get those confirmed bookings rented out.

So if they go into holding I can�t ask for them to be transferred into RCI or equivalent, is that correct?

I'm not sure - RCI is poor value for your points so it\s not something we have looked at in any detail.

Yes it would be poor value but if we had to cancel I thought anything there would be better than holding until end of May, as we wouldn�t be able to go before then.

My booking is all in 1-3 night chunks (2 bed villas), I won't be asking DVC to join them until after we've taken our fit to fly LFTs, all ready to rent them as reservations if we have to.

We just cancelled our May trip and put the reservation up on a FB page tonight and it sold in less than an hour.
