DCL Testing

Hiya,

The test that DCL provide before you board, is it a PCR or LFT?

Thanks

Thanks. & because we have had Covid before so if it’s a PCR I’d be concerned it could still show positive.

It's definitely a PCR for unvaccinated guests and I'd assume they're using the same test for everyone, but it doesn't explicitly say for vaccinated.

It’s a rapid PCR but you can use a 90 day exemption with your positive test & a recovery letter.

The one we got from Newcastle it was LFT so they’ve changed it.

To currently get on a Disney cruise everyone 5 and up has to be vaccinated and it’s a lateral flow test that’s done at port. Anyone 5 and under who cannot be vaccinated it’s a PCR test 3 days to 24 hours before boarding as well as a lateral flow at port. Hope this helps.

I really don't think it is an LFT. If you read this disneycruise.disney.go/w...kation-day-us/ it states that the Embarkation testing for non-vaccinated guests is the second PCR test they require before boarding. This definitely confirms that all those who aren't vaccinated get a rapid PCR test at the port and I really doubt they would be testing people differently as logistically this would be a nightmare. In the UK LFTs were used but not in the US

I’d your not vaccinated you can’t go on a Disney cruise currently so all testing would be the same.
