My solo "book a flight in the morning to fly that very lunchtime" is probably about as last-minute as you can get, and tricky now with the testing required, but we've done plenty of other trips booked just 2-3 weeks in advance and always had a great time.

Life is too short to miss out on opportiunities, so if you can spare the time and the money, then go for it - it's decision you're very unlikely to regret!

Go for it why not. As long as you can get park passes you're fine.

I booked one of our past trips on the Monday and we flew out on the Friday before. Total spur of the moment thing as I'd just checked the VH website looking for a deal a few weeks later and thought "I'll have a look at this weekend" and it was so cheap I thought let's just go for that. Think the lady in the VH store thought I was a bit crazy. But it was one of the best holidays we've had.

I'm giving serious thought to going in Feb half term as seen some good deals...

It sounds like a great idea if you can find something a an acceptable price. There is not much fun in the planning these days anyway so no need to drag it out!

One of my best trips ever was booked the night before for me and 4 friends
We flew out Saturday morning all of us were nurses and on our long 10 day off spell and then back doing the 3 13 hour Friday / Sunday night
We arrived back in Friday morning hit our beds and went to work that night
We had a ball absolutely no planning just email tickets and car hire sorted before we left home ball
We did every park including Busch shopped and shopped and cocktails before they were a thing by the villa pool at night
We did it again several times but with a bit more not much planning just fudging the off duty to when the villa was empty to get almost 2 weeks
