Yep defo crazy money.

We have looked at loads of options for our total 10 days and there is nowhere cheap - well nowhere where you'd fancy staying anyway!

Our Speakeasy at $200 a night seems like a bargain compared to most other places. Ok its not fancy, no pool etc but its a great vibe and as this trip is waaaay more expensive than we were hoping for!

That is just super annoying about the pricing! The speakeasy sounds great. 😁

I clearly pressed send too early on my post!

ITs a super wee place - this trip is costing double what our Dec 19 trip cost

Was going to suggest Hawks Cay at Duck Key half way down the Keys but previous posters are right the prices have shot up, now 600 pounds per night

Who can afford that! Prices are crazy. I'm not sure we would have booked if we'd known how expensive it was going to be... but it's our 30th wedding anniversary so we're just getting on with it.

Wanting to be near to a beach is something that will limit you massively in the Keys - although you're surrounded by water, beaches don't really happen very much and a lot of the little ones are man-made.

Just this!

We are booked to go and see our grandson (Aged 1) and then down to the keys.
I don't think we really made the most of it last time.

i actually think we paid more for the speakeasy last trip (per night) but we only had 3 nights there.

We just didnt fancy driving up the gulf coast again this time so we are having to just get on with it like you say.

It doesn't help that the fight prices are soo much more than last time - Dec 19 we paid £1100 for flights and car hire - so I guess we were spoiled. The flights are £1500 on their own this time.

I dont mind the odd tin of baked beans between now and October

We stayed at the Drop Anchor resort in Islamorada, it was a great place to explore the Keys from and you could view the villas and book online.
